KRILL CAM
KRILL CAM

Having finally worked out how to grab video frames using my Linux system, I rotoscoped (traced) krill from the Antarctic Division’s KRILL CAM, to breathe more life into Part 2 of the Energies animation.

After importing a video clip into a layer of Flash4, I watched the krill swimming over and over, then loosely traced over their forms to reflect the different qualities of their movements.

I have also set up an easel next to my computer, so I can now draw in the space where I write and animate. These processes have been feeling too separate from each other. This separation is reflected in the thesis.
