Ice core evidence

This ice core is from the Law Dome near Casey Station.
It is 1200 m long and dates back about 90,000 years.

Images and data have been provided by B. Frankel, Australian Antarctic Division, for exploring ways of animating annual cycles and interannual trends observed in ice thickness and concentrations of methanesulphonic acid.
