Linux clay

At last night’s SLUG meeting I spoke with people about the challenges of animating in a Linux system. Image Magick may be the clay that I seek, to get hands-on to the code that moves pixels on the screen.

Annual cycles and inter-annual trends in sea ice may be revealed through such visual music.

Beast was reccommended for programming sound, to build sound patterns from the same data.

Cinepaint was also mentioned as a useful tool for rotoscoping.
