Mount Tomah Totem: Puya (Puya berteroniana)
This exotic plant from the Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens
seemed suitably strange for Antarctica.
Full of life, energy and colour, it contrasts against the ice.
This Chilean Puya may once have grown there.

What if you downloaded one of these pictures, and digitally drew, or animated a sculpture of your own in there?

In 2003 Stephen Eastaugh created a sculpture garden around the totem, Man Sculpted by Antarctica (known by locals as Fred the Head), at Davis Station:
