Bringing lives to data

Claire Sives and I brainstorm ideas for engaging people (specially children) in scientific data and their stories of relationship:

Draw responses to Tyson Yunkaporta’s words for visualisation, in his book, Sand Talk.
Trace visualisations of scientific data that show relationships between living things.
Draw creatures that feature in both science and dreaming stories, scan these and bring them into programs to generate scientific visualisations.

Another workshop idea involves stop motion animation using phone cameras and software to compile gif files for online publication.
