Not Forgetting the Whale, a book by John Ironmonger

I find this book in the Newtown Red Cross Opp Shop that tells about a whale who returns to land with a message for the people.

I read, “…John Ironmonger was born and grew up in East Africa although his mother was a Cornish girl and he spent his late teens in the fishing village of Mevagissey. He is the author of two novels, ‘The Noteable Brain of Maximillian Ponder’, which was shortlisted for the 2012 Costa First Novel Award and the Guardian’s Not the Booker Prize, and the ‘Coincidence Authority’. He lives in rural Shropshire with his wife, Sue, and their two grown-up children.”
